Tell It Tuesday- Birdseed Eggs

The leaves are changes, air is crisper and the birds are migrating! This week's Tell It Tuesday is a fun way to hang some bird snacks around your yard. A fun project for kids of all ages to help with. This project was taken from Birds &Blooms and was a subscriber's idea.

What you will need:

1/3 cup gelatin
1-1/2 cups water
8 cups birdseed
heavy string

Directions:
Mix gelatin and water over low heat until the gelatin is melted and clear. Remove from heat and stir in birdseed. Stir until there is no dry seed. Form mixture into egg shapes. Use plastic Easter eggs as a mold to get the egg shape. At this time, use a needle or paperclip to run the sting through the top 1/3 of the egg. Refrigerate for two to four hours and dry on baking rack for three days. Hang on trees for birds and wildlife to enjoy!
